Cody's Cancer has reared its ugly head

Hi,
I'm Cynthia, Cody's mom. Cancer is not something you would wish on your worst enemy. Cody is back in the hospital thanks to cancer and the infections he gets because of what cancer has done to him. He moved to Colorado 2yrs ago to be with his fiancee, Jeniffer and godson, Corey. Cody had been working until about 2 wks ago when his cancer reared its ugly head. He started running a fever, coughing badly and hurting inside. Jeniffer took him to the ER, and he was immediately admitted. He has been in the hospital since Monday, Sept 26, 2022. They have drained some internal cysts two (2) times and are treating the infection, even though they are unsure of what it is. They have done two (2) lung biopsies because his cancer has grown. There is also fluid in the lungs. The Drs stated this is a rare case. I added his Cancer Backstory at the bottom for anybody who wants to read about it.
Reason for the GoFundme: Colorado does not have disability/insurance (CASDI) income as we do in CA. In Colorado, some employers offer it, and the employee must pay for it. Cody's employer does not offer or provide this insurance. (Example: if you fall off your motorcycle, break your leg and can't work for 6 wks, there is no financial assistance in the form of temporary disability). A case worker told me over the phone that in these instances, people either have their savings or rely on friends and family for assistance until they can get back to work. Or they can apply for Social Security, but that is a long process.
Funds: Funds will be used for rent, utilities, uncovered medical expenses/supplies, gas for trips to the Dr, food, unexpected costs, and living expenses until he can return to work. And anybody who knows Cody knows he is determined to return to work as soon as possible.
I'm sure I can speak for both Jeniffer and Cody when I say that it is very humbling to have to ask for help. It is for me because I wish I could help more. We put this off, hoping he would return to work in a week, but it got worse instead of better. So, now here we are. Any help will be sincerely appreciated.
And speaking for all of us, thank you very much.
Cancer Backstory: Cody is battling colorectal cancer. He is only 36yrs old, and his cancer battle started 10yrs ago when the Drs found a tumor. They removed the tumor and also removed some of his lymph nodes. He was diagnosed with stage 3B cancer. A section of his colon had to be removed. He has had multiple surgeries to re-attach the colon, but none have been successful. Anybody who has had to have a portion of their colon removed knows there is much more to it than what I am saying here. The Drs did find cancer in his lymph nodes, too. Because cancer had gotten into his lymph nodes, it metastasized to his right lung. There was surgery at Cedars Sinai to remove the lung tumor, but the surgery was unsuccessful. The tumor grew so big that he had to have 1/3 of the lung removed. He has / and is still battling numerous infections and cancer. He has endured multiple rounds of chemo and multiple bouts of radiation. He has spent time in various hospitals and time in ICUs after surgeries. He has never let this keep him down, as he has always continued to do some work when possible.
