Help Caroline Out

Hi, my name is Caroline, but you’ll probably know me as Cass (using the legal name here) and I’m fundraising for myself. Over the years, like many, I incurred some debt. Then I caught Covid, developed Long Covid and lost 20% of my salary. I’m a nurse, but not on the frontline in patient care, however I most likely caught the virus on my way to and from the hospital. 

While I am not at immediate risk of losing my job, which means I’ll lose my home. I’m raising money to pay off my unsecured debts (more would be a dream), which would give me breathing space. 

I have tried to help people out over the years, whether friend or random stranger, buying loads of groceries, giving or loaning money to ppl and yeah, I could have been a lot better with money, but here we are. I don’t judge others, so I hope nobody judges me. Currently, while off on long term sick, I advocate for those also disabled through Long Covid, as well as try and support the LGBT+ community online. I regard myself as a bit of an activist.

If things go well, I’ll raise my target as the current level is just under 10% of my unsecured debt only. I am also in touch with StepChange as well and am working through a debt resolution plan. 

Whatever is raised will go straight to paying off short term debt. It will also help pay for my cats to see the vet and dental treatment for one of them. If, by some miracle, I raise enough to cover all debts (note: not the current level), this appeal will be closed and anything left donated to cancer charities, in memory of my parents and uncle. I would also like help Long Covid charities.
