My name is Kayla, and as many of you know, my family’s world came crashing down when my mom, Jackie Counts, was diagnosed with cancer on 10/20/2023. After going into the hospital on Tuesday night for what we expected to be Acute cholecystitis, our world was rocked when the surgeon found a very large tumor attached to my mom’s liver and gallbladder. Unfortunately, the tumor is so large, it is pushing on her diaphragm and has partially collapsed her right lung. We know God will provide, but due to this very significant change in her health, my mom can no longer work. Thankfully, my dad is newly retired and can spend every minute by her side at the hospital, but unfortunately, that won’t pay the expenses. I am starting this GoFundMe to help provide them with some financial cushion for medical bills, hotel rooms, and frequent trips to and from Riverside. If you aren’t able to provide any monetary support that is absolutely okay because praying is the best support you could ever give my family.
