UPDATE: Roman is so moved by everyone’s generosity that he wants to pay it forward. He will take 10% of your donations to him and donate them to the Xavier Mission in Manhattan, which offers food, shelter and other services to homeless and otherwise economically disadvantaged people.
Hi everyone,
My name is Yeimy I am from the Bronx and my brother, Roman lost EVERYTHING during the floods of Hurricane Ida. Roman recently moved into a basement in Parkchester in The Bronx, during a major transitional point in his life. Ida ended up destroying everything he owned
as well as his camera/ video editing equipment, disabling him from making any money to get back on his feet. His furniture, computer, hours of footage in his hard-drive, camera, guitars, speakers, ALL destroyed by water damage.
With your help, the donations will be used to recoup the essentials needed for Roman to get back on his feet: A new computer and editing equipment for work, new bed, furniture, guitars, camera gear, television, speakers desk furniture and new clothes.
The funds would be used as soon as possible since Roman doesn’t have anywhere to stay long-term.
My brother, although in high spirits and very humble, I can see how this tragedy is slowly making him lose hope in getting himself up since the insurance will not cover a dime for the damages. With your help we can show Roman how much we care and help him to continue fighting through during such tragic times!
We will be eternally grateful for any donations toward this cause. Help from any kind is needed so please feel free to contact us if you want to further help my brother. Thank you so much and God Bless you!
