On 1-15-2026, I got a call from my husband saying my dad was in an accident. He rides on the back of a garbage truck, which he's done for years. He has worked with Evans Garbage for over 15 years.

Well, yesterday morning, he was involved in a hit-and-run accident where the vehicle hit him on the back of the garbage truck and sped away. He was on the ground, not able to move, and thank God the driver of the garbage truck, which was also his boss, was able to react fast and pull him to safety on the shoulder of the road. He was rushed to Northeast Georgia Medical Hospital and went through a 5-hour surgery. He now has rods and plates in both legs. He will probably need 1 or 2 more surgeries to fix his legs.

As of this morning, 1-16-2026, he has taken a turn for the worse. He is very sick and has more wrong than what was initially found. My daddy is 66 years old and will probably never walk again if he even makes it through all this. The driver ran but was later caught and is being held at the moment. Right now, we are asking for prayers, and if you would like to help in any way, it would be greatly appreciated!
