My Story: Healing After a Life-Changing Accident

Hey it's Matthew, and I’m reaching out with a humble heart during one of the most painful and challenging times of my life.

Just recently, on monday june 16th 2025 around 5:30 pm I was thrown from a very fast motorized hyper scooter going nearly 40 miles per hour. I was wearing only a t-shirt and shorts, I tumbled over the street 3 or 4 times and slid on my back along the street about 14 ft and smacked my back into a curb and bounced into someone's driveway. The impact left me with two broken vertebrae in my lower back, major pain in between my shoulders, 2 severely sprained and swollen ankles, severely jammed fingers and a hand i cant close with no mobility in my left arm as well and major road rash across my entire back, legs and head.

I currently have no ability to walk from the swelling in Both ankles and the pain In my back and i am confined to bed, relying entirely on the use of only my right arm to do even the simplest tasks.

As someone who has always worked hard and done everything I can to support myself, it’s incredibly difficult for me to ask for help — but this time, I truly need it. I’m completely unable to work right now due to the severity of my injuries, and the healing time for my injuries is expected to be 8 to 12 weeks. But the medical expenses, cost of living, rent and necessary recovery needs are quickly piling up and I'm very scared I'm about to lose everything that I have worked so hard for because of this accident.

Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward my recovery — including medical care, physical therapy, mobility equipment, and helping me pay rent to have a place to survive while I heal. I do plan on returning to work once I am fully able, If you’re unable to give, sharing this campaign and lifting me in prayer is just as meaningful and appreciated.
