Support Kevin Hanson's Third Battle with Cancer

We are reaching out on behalf of our dear friend Kevin Hanson, 56. He is fighting a tough battle with cancer for the third time in 5 years.

Kevin lives in Alfred, Maine with his wife Kandy. They have 3 wonderful and supportive children, Meaghan, Kasey, and Ben. They are also blessed with 4 beautiful grandchildren, Chase, Blake, Avery, and Emerson. Kevin is a Freemason belonging to Lodge #55 in Alfred, Maine. He is also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aries 4392, in Waterboro, Maine.

In September of 2020, Kevin was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Follicular Lymphoma. After receiving R/CHOP treatment, he went into remission for 18 months.

In 2022, Kevin was told the cancer returned and had transformed into Large-B Cell cancer. He was once again treated with the R/CHOP procedure and went into remission but only for 15 months.

Unfortunately, Kevin is once again in the fight against cancer. He recently started a treatment plan called RICE. An MRI scan was taken after Kevin complained about headaches. The scan found a large mass behind his eye, so the treatment was changed to R/D HAPP, a treatment that can only be administered in a hospital setting. Kevin is now getting ready for his 3rd treatment at Maine Medical Center. Additionally, Kevin has had several appointments at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts to prepare his body for CAR T Therapy.

Due to his upcoming treatment plan, he has greatly reduced his work schedule. During the CAR T treatment, there will be a long stay in Boston which comes with overwhelming emotional, physical, and financial challenges.
