Mundo Magico is located inside the neighborhood Kennedy in the Department of Maldonado in Uruguay. This is where Diego grew up and where he called home until he came here with 17 years old. 

60-80 kids, newborns to 14 years old come to this Merendero (food pantry / community center) and it is a refuge for these kids. They have books, television and a some food each day, depending on the donations they receive. 

These children don't have much but they have good attitudes, they are kind and they take care of each other. Estrella takes care of them everyday and calls herself their "Grandma" and she says she only expects love and that they will behave. Estrella has dedicated her life to this and pays Merendero's bills and neglects her own. 

School begins in March 2nd and these families cannot afford basic supplies to send their kids to school. Last year we purchased school supplies for all the children, which cost $600 as well as a container of gas for cooking.  All money will go 100% to Mundo Magico. The first priority will be books, and getting the kids ready for school. Mundo Magico has gone to other local schools and will receive some donated school supplies so we will know the exact amount we need once we receive those. Extra money will go to new uniforms for the families who can't afford to buy uniforms. 

Diego and Julio pay for the cable, the gas for cooking and the "grasa," which is fat bought from butcher shops for cooking, that is cheaper than oil. All money received will go to Mundo Magico for these items in the above order. 

We are so grateful for truly ANY amount, no matter the size, we know it all adds up and the kids are truly grateful to receive help, and positive support from people whom they've never personally met. When you are this young and uncertain and someone looks or shows any belief in you it can have an immeasurable ability to make you believe that greater things are possible for you. Mundo Mágico está ubicado dentro del barrio Kennedy en el Departamento de Maldonado en Uruguay. Aquí es donde creció Diego y donde llamó a casa hasta que llegó aquí con 17 años.

60-80 niños, recién nacidos a 14 años vienen a este Merendero y es un refugio para estos niños. Tienen libros, televisión y algo de comida cada día, dependiendo de las donaciones que reciben.

Estos niños no tienen mucho pero tienen buenas actitudes, son amables y se cuidan unos a otros. Estrella los cuida todos los días y se hace llamar su abuela y dice que solo espera amor y que se comportarán. Estrella ha dedicado su vida a esto y paga las cuentas de Merendero y descuida las suyas.

La escuela comienza el segundo de Marzo y estas familias no pueden pagar los suministros básicos para enviar a sus hijos a la escuela. El año pasado compramos útiles escolares para todos los niños, que cuestan $ 600, así como un contenedor de gas para cocinar. Todo el dinero irá al 100% a Mundo Mágico. La primera prioridad serán los libros y preparar a los niños para la escuela. Mundo Mágico ha ido a otras escuelas locales y recibirá algunos útiles escolares donados para que sepamos la cantidad exacta que necesitamos una vez que los recibamos. El dinero extra se destinará a nuevos uniformes para las familias que no pueden comprar uniformes.

Diego y Julio pagan el cable, el gas para cocinar y la grasa. Todo el dinero recibido irá a Mundo Mágico para estos artículos en el orden anterior.

Estamos muy agradecidos por CUALQUIER cantidad, sin importar el tamaño, sabemos que todo suma y los niños están realmente agradecidos de recibir ayuda y apoyo positivo de personas que nunca conocieron personalmente. Cuando eres tan joven e incierto y alguien te mira o muestra alguna creencia en ti, puede tener una capacidad inconmensurable para hacerte creer que cosas más grandes son posibles para ti.
