In 2017 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.  After many surgeries and treatment we thought that I was in the clear.  A couple of weeks ago I felt a lump and we got biopsy results a few days ago and the cancer has returned on my chest wall.   

Not that there is ever a good time to get cancer - but this has literally happened at the worst possible time for us.  During the month of June I will have insurance coverage that will not cover pre-existing conditions.  I will have coverage that includes pre-existing conditions beginning in July.  But because my cancer is quite aggressive we cannot postpone treatment until July.  

My health care team is literally working overtime to get my surgery in before the end of May so I don't have to pay out of pocket for it.  But now we are having some problems getting the PET scan approved.  My doctor is going to try to fight it but we may not have the time to ensure this gets approved prior to my surgery.   Basically they need to be sure that the cancer hasn't set up shop anywhere else in my body prior to surgery.  

We could really use some help this time around.  It would make this process a little easier if we don't have the added stress of being concerned about paying for treatment.  We want you to know that if we have any leftover funds they will be donated to help other cancer patients.
