We sadly had to take our kitty Oscar Meyer Weiner to the vet due to him consistently gagging and pawing at his mouth. After seeing a vet, they determined he has Stomatitis, a disease that affects around 10% of cats. Stomatitis is when a cat’s body has an inappropriate immune response to their own teeth, causing intense pain and irritation. The only option we have is to extract his teeth, and once they get in his mouth they’ll be able to determine if they have to take a few teeth or all of them. We have enough money saved to cover around $2,000 of the procedure, but it will end up costing $3,000 (or more). Neither of us are comfortable asking for money but we agreed we would do absolutely anything for our sweet boy, so here we are. If you are able to spare anything at all we so deeply appreciate it and we know Oscar will live a long happy life once this is taken care of. Thank you so much.
