In the wee hours of Sunday morning I got a phone call that is every mothers nightmare. My son Ashley was air lift and is in ICU Trauma. Some guy beat him with a hatchet. Once he was unconscious the guy continued to kick and beat him. My son now has bilateral subdural hematoma, orbital fractures, broken nose, broken ribs... they are keeping him in a medicated coma state with a breathing tube.

There has been little improvement but he is stable. My son will have a very long road ahead. At this time we have no idea what long term effects the critical brain trauma will have. We do know that if/when he is able to leave the hospital he will be going to a traumatic brain injury rehabilitation center.
I am trying to put together the money to get to Cleveland Ohio to be with my son. Any amount donated would be greatly appreciated.
