Hello,
Happy New Year!! This upcoming summer (2022) I have been invited to attend the Envision National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF) Engineering at the University of California - Berkeley. This forum is focused on the study of various fields of engineering, which is a huge passion of mine, to obtain a better insight into the world through an engineer's eyes. This is a program that includes industry-leading keynote speakers, mentorships by Ivy League professors, company site tours, and hands-on labs and simulation opportunities. In addition, it will expose me to the numerous engineering possibilities that are available to pursue in the future. My parents have sacrificed so much for their kids and having the money to go is one step closer to thanking them, as well as, to show them their efforts are not in vain. I have set up this GoFundMe page to reach out to the kind and passionate people who share a drive for engineering and for helping young adults to chase their dreams. It is with your help that will allow me to lead future engineers into building a better world for generations to come. This is a great opportunity for me and one that a lot of 16-year-old African American young men don't receive. I'm asking if you would partner with me and my parents to help fund this endeavor so I can take the first step in chasing my dream of becoming an engineer. I need to raise $4,600 (tuition, travel expenses, and meals) by March 2022 to pursue this opportunity. Any amount you can donate will be truly appreciated. Your kindness is ineffable to put into thanks.
I am beyond grateful,
