URGENT PLEA

PLEASE HELP.

This fundraiser was named 'A new hope' because that is what I had found in staring my new regime involving a new way of eating, supplements and more.  It was about me doing everything I could to improve my physical and mental health so that one day I might get out of this bed and begin my life again, be the mother I so long to be to my little boy and regain some independence. I had a fire burning in my heart and a fierce determination to make myself well. I made a huge amount of progress but as much as it devastated me to do it I had no choice but to abandon that plan and that hope for now due to simply not being able to raise enough to fund my efforts. As a result, not only have I lost all of that progress but I've begun to deteriorate to a state both physically and mentally that if anything is worse than it was before I began that journey. Things are now quite desperate.

If you're from England like me you probably know about the cuts to disability benefits and how the forced change over to universal credits has left many of us without even enough income to put enough food on the table. That is the situation we find ourselves in. This has been going on for such a long time meaning I have food rationed, done without basics and not been able to pay for care for what feels like forever. I lost well over 100 pounds in just a few months last year without trying because of it. I had gotten to be extremely overweight due to hormonal and care issues, as well as a terrible diet comprised of whatever was cheapest and most convenient ( my husband was on bed rest at the time after a serious back injury which still severely limits his mobility.) but still, loosing as much weight as that so quickly and in that way, is very dangerous. You can be overweight and still extremely mall nourished and anaemic.  The focus of this fundraiser now is covering food, and basics, keeping a roof over my families head and hopefully being able to pay towards some care hours.

I am bedridden. I need help with everything I do. I have issues with incontinence, full body cramps, spasms, extremely severe nerve pain, swelling, bruising, joint pain and swelling, partial dislocations multiple times a day, skin that blisters and tears very easily, colonies of  abscesses all over (including my groin) which are indescribably painful, chemical intolerance, severe allergies,Extreme sensory intolerance compounded by my ASD,  lung damage from multiple cases of pneumonia, damage to other organs, Severe IBS, Breathing issues, Chronic insomnia, massive swelling of the neck over my throat which can make it impossible to swallow or even speak often, gut issues. I am back to throwing up multiple times a day and the stomach and bowel pain is terrible. I also can't sit up without my blood pressure and oxygen levels going haywire and feeling very ill indeed. These are just a few of the symptoms that I live with daily. I also suffer from mental illness including CPTSD.

I have very severe  Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (for a good explanation of this multisystemic disease see  'The hummingbirds' foundation' website. I also have POTS, Fibromyalgia, HS, Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), Joint hypermobility syndrome, suspected EDS, soft diagnosis of Cushing’s disease, severe asthma, arthritis and Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) among other things. The simplest of tasks for me either requires a carer to help or is just not doable. Being touched at all is agony which means that things as simple as washing and dressing, brushing hair and teeth and getting cleaned up after bathroom use is a nightmare and physical affection is nigh on impossible.

If you can and wish to donate then please do. Paypal is best for me due to gofundme taking large fees and taking up to ten days to clear but donations directly to the fundraiser are still so very appreciated. My mum and I share a PayPal account. [email redacted]. Donations here are also set up to go into her account which is why it says I'm raising money for her. Bank-related things can be very tricky when you are bedridden. If you can't donate then please do share. One share can make such a difference. Thank you so much for reading.
