It is hard to find the words to say a big enough thank you for all the support. We would like to share more about the accident and what we are trying to help her cover with this go fund me....
When Jessica crashed she was sent in an ambulance for an emergency surgery, by a neurosurgeon, to save her life. She was in the ICU for 3 days and had to stay in the hospital for a total of 6 days. She was released for 2 days but then she had a seizure. At the first seizure her family called 911 and Jessica had to take another ambulance ride to a second hospital. She was given medication and released that night. The next day the neurosurgeon (who performed the original surgery) recommended that Jessica be hospitalized again to be cautious. Thankfully she was hospitalized again because Jessica had 7 seizures in 2 days. Luckily, during this 3rd hospital stay the Dr’s got the seizures under control and gave her the clearance to travel home with her parents supervision.
This was all a very scary experience and we know the medical bills are going to add up.
In addition to that, Jessica did not have short term disability. Once she uses up her 2 weeks of vacation time she will not be receiving an income until she is cleared by a neurologist to return back to work. This is definitely going to be a challenging time and we are so thankful for any help that people are able to give.
