UPDATE:

What We Need
Our current trailer is 13 years old and falling apart. It has broken down on recent trips and is on its 3rd axle replacement. Lakota Robotics Team 1038 needs $20,000 for a trailer to transport our equipment to competitions. We have an anonymous donor who will match donations up to $2500!
Who is 1038?
We are a student-led, community-based FIRST Robotics team. We have 60 high school student team members from 7 school districts in the West Chester and northern Cincinnati area and compete in FRC robotics competitions nationwide. We design and build a robot each season to compete against other FRC teams. We serve the community by holding STEM events such as a LEGO Robotics Tournament for 4th-7th graders, and hold robotics-based learning events for the Boys and Girls Club and the Girl Scouts. We partner with the community as many of our sponsors and mentors are part of local companies. Participation in our team is free of charge to participants and we are fully supported by donations, sponsors, and grants.
How We Compete
We transport 1500+ lbs of equipment to competitions across the nation. We bring a full "pit" including tools and backup parts to service and repair our robot during competitions.
