Our names are Araceli and Patty Huerta and we are trying to raise money for our mother Maria,
A little story about Maria, Maria was a mother of six kids, four girls (Patricia, Rosa, Araceli and Ana) and two boys (Roberto Jr and John). Our mother Maria came from Mexico to the USA in the 80s to find work, and to live the American dream. Maria met Roberto (our father) while waitressing and they instantly fell in love. Our parents had their ups and downs but together they always pulled it off. Our mom always did all she could to make sure that we were always fed, dressed, overall healthy and taken care of. Our mom was a very loving and caring person that never gave up. Unfortunately when she got pregnant in her late 40’s she suffered from two miscarriages which led her to depression and sadly to alcohol. Our mom never liked to drink before these incidents, so she kept it from all of our family and friends very well. One day our sister went to visit her and noticed that she looked ill and rushed her to the hospital where she was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis but was later discharged. Some months had passed by and her health started to decline more, she was starting to lose weight fast and started to turn jaundice so she was rushed by ambulance to the hospital, that is where they discovered that her condition had worsened and now she had stage 4 liver failure. Our mother needed a liver transplant in order to survive but unfortunately, due to her circumstances she wasn’t a valid candidate. After many procedures and attempts to stabilize her the doctors were unsuccessful. Our mom was put on life support to help her stay at ease and as comfortable as possible during her final moments, unfortunately her health kept declining more with every passing hour. So as a family we decided to let her pass in peace without any further suffering. Our mom leaves behind nothing but amazing memories all because of her loving, caring, and nurturing nature. She always gave to others without hesitation. As a family and with heavy hearts, we no longer wanted to see our mother suffer. We are saddened to have to write this but all we can do is be hopeful and remember all the beauty she gave to this world. Our mom will always be in our hearts, we just ask for any kind of support in whatever form you can, and by praying for us during this time. Our mom lived a good life and we just want her to be remembered that way. All the donations will go toward covering her medical expenses and for her memorial service. All we ask for is compassion and prayers for our family. Thank you so much for taking your time and reading about our mom. She was a warrior, a fighter, the light at the end of our tunnel, our guardian angel, and forever our queen.
