*UPDATE*Monday Update: from my aunt.

While Pat is feeling/looking much better, he is still having to do Tylenol and Ibuprofen every 6 hours to control the swelling. If he doesn’t keep up on it, he gets pretty swollen and sore. He is however, absolutely loving having no external stitches anymore! He has been doing his steroid/antibiotic eyedrops 3x/day and will continue those through the week.

He’s much happier to be able to do things (and not get yelled at ), but is still far from the guy he was before all of this. Again, it’ll take time. He’ll get back to that spunky ole dude he was a couple weeks ago!

Continued positive thoughts going forward, he has a court hearing on Wednesday for the RO. that goes well!
My father is doing a bit better. There's still a lot of pain, but more manageable now than it was. The swelling has gone down some. And he is still, unfortunately out of work. But, with all things considered, he is doing well. We are still in need of some help with him being out of work. Which is a struggle. But we know we can make it happen. The most important thing is that he is on the mend. We appreciate everybody who has donated or shared this gofundme more than any of you can understand. Please keep sharing and know that the Henning family is very very grateful.

My name is Jennessa Edwards, as most of you know, in April we suddenly lost my Grandma and my parents went through the struggle of paying for her unexpected funeral, which solely fell on my Dad's plate being her only child. Well, last night, my family received another blow & my Dad was at his camper and was attacked on his own deck, resulting in him being taken via ambulance to Ladysmith ER and then transferred to Eau Claire Mayo to see a specialist to get his eye sewed up. The following was posted by my mom: "Well when you tell people to slow down when speeding through the campground and this is the out come. 3 people attacked pat on our deck. Broken eye socket and broken nose. One is in jail and hopefully the other 2 will be soon. They will not get away with this." He has the above injuries, but is also struggling to see (due to the swelling in his face/eyes), having a hard time eating due to everything just hurting & being so sore/swollen. His lower eyelid was completely lacerated/displaced causing him to need to have stitches placed. Charges will be pressed and the people responsible for this horrible attack will be held accountable!

But it doesn't stop there...My Dad recently started a new job (last week) & currently has no health insurance. After this attack, he is (at minimum), out of work for 1 week, but could potentially be longer dependent on how the healing process goes. Fingers crossed it's just the week, but it's just too early to know yet. While we are SO grateful that he is overall ok & things didn't have a worse outcome, I'd like to stand behind him & come together to help as much as we can in this time of uncertainty. He has already been through so much & I want to help them as much as we can! Any funds received will go towards any medical/household bills while he is unable to work to help lighten the load, while his wife will be the sole bread winner while he recovers.
