Help Olivia with medical bills

Hi, my name is Paul Shaffer and I am fundraising for my daughter, Olivia, who was injured in an accident at her Vo-Tech school. On January 10th 2020, Olivia was attending her Automotive Technology class. It was an exciting day for her as they were going to test out the car engine they had been rebuilding. Unfortunately, the teacher cut some corners and they didn’t have the proper components to put the engine back together correctly. They had to use a part from another vehicle and rig something up to make the engine run. When the teacher started up the engine, the part that they rigged up blew apart and a piece of debris struck Olivia in the mouth, causing severe facial trauma as well as destroying a portion of her upper jaw and knocking out a few of her teeth.

My medical insurance covered the initial treatment at Children’s Hospital, but her follow up surgery was not covered and had to be paid out of pocket.

Olivia still needs extensive dental work and maybe another bone graft which all needs paid upfront, as well as counseling for PTSD. We appreciate any help and support we can get. We hope and pray that no other child and family has to go through this.
