Just 20 days away from what was supposed to be the happiest day of their lives, Josh and Braylee received the most devastating news. After experiencing chest pain and trouble breathing, Josh went to the ER on Friday with a collapsed lung. While performing ultrasounds and X-rays, doctors found a mass floating between his left lung and heart. After days of questions, tests, and uncertainty, they finally received the unexpected diagnosis: AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia).

Anyone who knows Josh knows he’s basically straight out of a Hallmark movie. He’s the sweetest, most selfless person you’ll ever meet. He’s always the first to step up and help others, no matter what he’s dealing with himself. He loves surprising Braylee with flowers and little acts of love. I’ll never forget the Fourth of July when he quietly snuck away and walked three miles just to bring Braylee a lemonade just because she mentioned it sounded good. That’s the kind of person Josh is.
