Help Cory Rebuild His Home
While on a fire assignment in Grangeville, Idaho, wildland firefighter Cory Allen received notice that his house had caught fire in McCall, Idaho. He had to leave his assignment to go deal with the situation and will be missing out on anticipated overtime pay and work experience. He has learned that the house will be a complete loss, beyond repair.
Cory has been an integral member of the Salmon Heli-Rappellers for 7 years. He sacrifices much for his public service. We would like to support him in this time of need. I (a crew mate of his) know from personal experience that even if insurance will prevent a house fire from burdened an owner’s finances from total devastation, there are many costly needs in the immediate aftermath. We would like for Cory to be able to stabilize his life as quickly as possible after this event, both for his personal well being and for his ability to return to his service during this catastrophic wildfire season.
All proceeds from this drive will go directly to Cory’s immediate expenses. If there are any unused funds, they will go to the wildland firefighter foundation (linked below) to support other wildland firefighters in need. We thank you wholeheartedly for your support and generosity.
