Let's make the Community Skate Awards 2025 a special one! Let's push beyond our amazing achievement last year by not only supporting the best male and female rollerbladers of the year but also the best youth skater of the year.

In 2024, for the first time in rollerblading, we supported for the best female and male rollerbladers of the year - and this was all due to the generous donations of the community. We made a difference.

Not only did the skaters get what they deserved, it brought more value to the awards, the community cared more and felt like they were a bigger part of it, the skaters pushed harder, it all became more exciting. You only have to look at the reaction from prominent rollerblading media and comment sections to see it was a massive win for the culture.

I want to do it all again this year, set new standards, add more value, motivate more and keep growing.

The Goal

For 2025, we aim to raise £10,000 (approx. $13,400) to help celebrate and support the people driving rollerblading forward.

Here’s how we plan to allocate the funds raised, if we hit the target:

If we exceed the initial £10,000 goal, additional funds will be distributed proportionally, with priority given to the Youth (Under 18) Skater of the Year category to further support the next generation of talent.

These awards will run the same way they have done for the past 3 years: The community suggests the nominees via stories, this is collated into a list of finalist's and then the community votes via a poll.

This year the poll will be hosted by Loco Skates https://www.locoskates.com/. The voting page will then turn into a results page so we have a well established location for voting and results.
