was a shoulder to cry on when our hearts hurt, he was someone we could drink with when we needed to laugh, he was always down to hit the strip, mariscos or just chill ,he was the guy who was always smoking and willing to share, he was someone you could trust with all your secrets, someone who ALWAYS showed up for the ones he loved, someone you could share failures with and know you you weren’t being judged (fuck that he judged us, even laughed in our faces! ) but somehow that would help us not feel so bad. He was amazing with all of our kids (because he was a big kid himself) and oh man did he love dogs! Especially all 5 of his own pups! He was a big boy who didn’t let his size limit what he could do. That man would climb on roofs (and fall off them) chase our kids, hike, do manual labor (not bc he had to, but bc he wouldn’t say no to friends who needed help) he would roam around shirtless like a hoochie and not give a fuck! Jaime was Jaime! He was unapologetically himself! And there will NEVER be another like him!

His laugh was infectious!!

He smelled like cologne and good weed

He was ALWAYS late! ALWAYS!!

He was always happy

He was light hearted, happy, goofy, and full of shit

Jaime was my family. Not my blood. But so much more. He was a big brother to my brothers & sisters. An uncle and best friend to my children and nieces and nephews. And I knew with him in this world I would always be okay, my kids would always be okay. He had us!

I can’t speak for everyone, but my life will never be the same. He’s changed me and I will forever be grateful for being able to experience his love and friendship. I will forever cherish all the memories!

Dates haven’t been locked in yet. But there will be a car wash this upcoming weekend and Jaime’s brother Juan is working on finding a venue big enough so that everyone can attend his services.
