Rick’s surgery

Donation protected

Some of you may or may not know, On Monday evening Rick was brought to Maple Grove Hospital (by his wife Bobbie) for chest pains and light headedness. When they arrived they ran all their test to find out he had in fact suffered a another heart attack, as we had expected. That night he was kept over night to be observed until morning. Tuesday they did an echocardiogram and he was transferred to North Memorial. There, they ran more test and preformed and angiogram which showed he had some blockages including where has stents previously placed. With those finding, the doctors decided that it would be best to go forward with bypass surgery. So this morning we met with the surgeons and went over the surgery that will take place. From what we understood there are three areas that will be bypassed. The right coronary artery, the left anterior descending coronary artery, and the circumflex coronary artery. This surgery will take place Thursday morning. We are very fortunate to have caught this in time before any major irreversible damage was done. Even though this is an extremely risky surgery, it will be life saving and give Rick many more years with his children and grandchildren and other family members that adore him so much. As most all those who know them know, Rick and Bobbie would never ask for help. They are the ones that put everyone else before themselves, they would give you the shirt of their backs even if that’s all that they had left. Though with this surgery, Rick will be out of work for quite a prolonged period of time, leaving them with only Bobbie’s income, and now many medical bills on top of the ones they already have. Even though they would never ask for the help, we, their family, are reaching out in hopes that we can make the financial hardship of this process a little smoother for the two of these amazing people. Even if you can’t donate, please share it with your friends and family. We also ask that all of our prayer worriers get to work on sending up their best prayers so that the lord will guide the surgeons hands and make the recovery process as smooth and painless as possible. We will be adding updates to this for anyone that is curious. thank you all so much.

Love,

His Kids
