Help Hannah- National Fencing Champion
Hola All.
My name is Davia, founder of an ExPat group in Costa Rica called, the Tribe Puerto Viejo.
A few times per year we raise money for the underserved and underfunded sports, children's and social programs; here in the Limon Province located in the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica.
This particular fundraiser, is to raise money for Hannah Mendez, an International contender and competitor, who’s training and competing on behalf of Black Jaguar Fencing Club, located in Puerto Viejo Limon Costa Rica.
URGENT!! PLEASE READ
After the excellent national and international results obtained by Hannah Méndez and Kai Lopez, at the beginning of August we received the call (see Annexes) to participate in the 2022 Central American Games in Guatemala, and we had the support of the Olympic Committee for financing, specifically for Hannah, a Training Camp in Vienna and Barcelona, to be held in September-October. Said Camp would also serve as preparation for the Junior Central American Championship in November.
However, this Monday, September 12, the surprise cancellation of the 2022 Central American Games took place, due to irregularities by the Guatemalan organizer. This implied the cancellation of the support for the realization of the Camp in Europe.
At this moment, Kai Lopez and myself are already in Europe (we came with our own resources), waiting for Hannah's arrival.
Due to the above, we are proposing a fundraiser to pay for Hannah Méndez's airfare, both to Europe and for internal travel. We already have the resources for food, lodging and registration for competitions.
This fundraiser will be on the move for the next 2 weeks. Any company or individual who wishes to collaborate will be recognized as an official sponsor of the Black Jaguar Fencing Club, and specifically of Hannah as National Selected for the entire 2022-2023 international season.
Any donation, no matter how small, will be of great help and will be sincerely appreciated.
