Help Melinda beat cancer!

Dear friends and family , 

Our beautiful mum and dear friend Melinda was recently diagnosed with Stage Four Metastatic Breast Cancer. This has been a complete shock to her and her family as she was first diagnosed with breast cancer 10 1/2 years ago at the age of 45.  At that time she went through extensive surgery with a bilateral mastectomy and 6 months of chemotherapy  With remission in place she went on to raise 3 young daughters, complete a BFA (Hons) in Painting and began a healing and artistic journey.  Everyone including Mel assumed the cancer was far behind her.

Late May this year, it was accidentally discovered through an unrelated test, that her cancer had returned with a shock diagnosis of Stage Four Metastatic breast Cancer in her bones, particularly her spine, ribs and pelvis.  She started treatment in June , this involves a six month intense program of weekly chemotherapy and every three weeks, immunotherapy.  She’s had a shaky start with reactions to drugs landing her in ICU a few times managing her calcium levels. 

Her daughters Ella, Gabbie and Morgan and good friend Michelle wanted to help in some way and together created this GoFundMe fundraiser to alleviate some of her financial pressure. These weekly expenses are for treatments which are helping support her physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically and spiritually.  We know she is throwing everything at this with no stone unturned.

However, these treatments are costly and we want to give her the best chance to knock this cancer on its socks and for her to completely focus on healing in the most positive environment. 

The treatments include:

-High Dose Vit C infusions ($400 per week)

-Acuenergetics - energy healing and detoxing chemo ($130 per week)

-Psychology - for mental well being ($180 per week)

-Integrative GP and Naturopath ($200 per month)

-ongoing medical costs, including scans and medications (unknown)

Our target goal is $15,000 based on costs of treatments above.  We ask if you are able and wish to support Melinda in this way (however small or large ) we know it will help but we also know if you are not able, the power of prayer, well wishes and positive thoughts will also help with her immensely.
