Justin's Rehabilitation Fund

This is Justin, one of my very best friends for about 10 years now. Through thick and thin, Justin has been the one I can count on no matter what. Justin is now battling addiction, and needs our help. We are asking for anyone’s help, and here is why:
Throughout high-school, Justin was a passionate soccer player. He suffered sports injuries that subsequently have required multiple surgeries throughout the years. Narcotic pain medications were prescribed each time after surgery to manage his pain. Justin sadly lost his birth father; a death that has understandably affected him. This past year, Justin and his family lost his stepfather, whom he was extremely close with. This happened very suddenly and unexpectedly. Justin wanted to be strong for his grieving mother, who had now lost two husbands, and for his family. He turned to those pain medications to cope, and this led to his addiction, which quickly has taken over his life. His family began to drown in medical bills from his stepfather’s death, and ended up losing their home. This is an amazing family who has fallen on hard times, working hard to rebuild their life, but with insufficient funds to send Justin to a decent rehab.
Addiction has touched the lives of many families, including my own. As a nurse, I have watched this tragedy first hand with other families, most with very sad endings. We can’t bear thinking of that ending for Justin. The hardest part of someone battling addiction is that very often the family wants to get him or her help, but the person doesn’t want help and/or doesn’t think they have a problem. We are one step ahead, because JUSTIN DESPERATELY WANTS THE HELP, and we desperately want to help him. This is not a kid who has no future and no support system. Justin has an amazing family and he has so much potential to excel in life. With a heart as big as his, he is bound to touch many people’s lives the way he has touched mine. He is the most-kind hearted and gentle guy I know, and the most loving uncle. He wants to make something of himself and he wants to see his nieces and nephews grow. We have found a rehab to place him in, one that Justin is excited to enter, but they will not admit him until they receive payment. Even after insurance, the cost is still too much to bear. The sooner we can get Justin admitted, the sooner we can prevent possible tragedy, and the sooner his family can sleep through the night knowing he is safe. If you can find it in your heart to donate, every penny counts. Help us give Justin another chance at life.
