Send a kid to camp, change a life forever!
I, like many of you, raised my kids in a community where Young Life, and their high school ministry, was an established part of our culture. We were blessed with a Young Life house right across the street from the Highland Park High School. No telling how many Young Life trips my crew attended! I can attest that the 
"Beyond Malibu" wilderness backpacking trip to the Canadian Rockies was life changing for my daughter, Lauren! I assumed that kids all over the U.S. had the same opportunity. Not so!
I have a deep love for the community of Burnsville NC where I have spent at least part of my summer since I was born. It is my happy place. Burnsville is a rural community nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. Mountain Heritage High School in Burnsville just finished it's first year of Young Life programming and it started like this...
A group of committed volunteers spent several years in careful planning, team-building, funding and prayer. At just the right time, when it was clear that God intended for this to happen, a group of young volunteer leaders reached out and recruited the high school kids pictured here to attend their first Young Life week of camping fun!
And fun was had for all! Most knew nothing of Young Life, some had not been away from home before, many knew nothing of the Lord, but by the end of the week, the love of God for them and the power for good in their was crystal clear!
Will you help me help this new Young Life group by sending kids to camp? They will head to Young Life"s Carolina Point camp July 12-18. Lives will be changed. Be a part of it!
Cost for each camper/chaperone is $550. We hope to send 25.
