VR Workshops for students
Donation protected
Our school budget is tight and spent nearly completely on having the right level of staffing for our children BUT we refuse to give up on providing rich opportunities to secure deep learning for our children.
As one example of this , we have commissioned a day of virtual reality workshops in April 2024 for Years 3-5 led by PrimeVR. With the use of this immersive technology, PrimeVR will bring the outside world into our classrooms and transport the children through time and space. Year 3 will be visiting Ancient Rome, Year 4 will be visiting the Maya Civilisation and Year 5 will be exploring the Oceans & Seas. Prime VR will be sending in a qualified educator to deliver these workshops to the classes and bring our learning to life.
The cost of this learning opportunity for our children is £650.
To raise funds to cover this cost our Headteacher, Mr Kerbel is doing a ‘virtual’ Inca Trail by walking 43 km in 4 days. Mr. Kerbel has set up this challenge for this half term break. He will be covering this distance between Friday 20th Oct’23 to Monday 23rd Oct’23. He hopes one day to hike the trail in reality but for now his goal is to provide the best and most exciting learning for our children of Grange. Please sponsor him and look out for updates on his journey on the Grange YouTube channel
Please donate whatever you can. Your generous donation will give our students the opportunity to engage in a rich knowledge-building experience to motivate them in their learning journey which will help us build their bright futures right now.
Thank you for making a difference!
