Update on Holly ♥️
We wanted to share a recent update on Holly’s health journey. After her surgery in early June to remove part of the tumor in her left frontal lobe, we’ve just learned that her brain tumor has now crossed the corpus callosum, the central structure that separates the left and right sides of the brain.
This means the cancer has now spread to the right side of her brain, which adds complexity to her treatment plan, but we’re not giving up hope.
Despite how heavy this news feels, we’re feeling a renewed sense of determination and focus. Holly qualifies for a clinical trial involving an IDH inhibitor. A promising, targeted treatment designed for her specific tumor mutation (IDH-mutant astrocytoma). These types of therapies are at the forefront of brain cancer research, and we’re hoping it will give her the best chance at slowing the tumor’s progression and improving her quality of life.
We’re currently navigating next steps at MD Anderson, discussing chemotherapy, radiation, and how to integrate clinical trial participation into her care plan.
As always, thank you for standing with us during every part of this journey. Every message, donation, and act of kindness has made a difference. not just financially, but emotionally. We’re still fighting, still hopeful, and still surrounded by so much love. ♥️
with gratitude,
