Funeral expenses and Medical Bills
Donation protected
The Pruitt Family is fundraising to help with funeral costs and accumulated medical bills for James Pruitt Jr. He was known to many as Jamie/Dollar to friends and family. James had a long time battle with Diabetes. During his battle He underwent Quadruple open heart bypass, Pacemaker, Stints throughout his body for heart, kidney, stomach and legs. Suffered a few heart attacks and three strokes one ending with his left eye sight taken along with minimal use of his left side arm and leg. Over this past year he lost both his legs before his battle ended with him passing Tuesday Oct 12, 2021. James was 47 years old married almost 22 years to his wife Jennifer. They have a set of fraternal twins James "Jay" Pruitt III and Jillian Thomas. James was a die hard Duke Blue Devils Basketball fan. He made sure to let Kentucky fans know it and even made friends with many of them with his love of just the game itself. His favorite NFL team was the Chicago Bears . His MLB team was the Atlanta Braves and NBA was L.A. Lakers. He just loved to talk Sports with anyone and everyone no matter what team you represented. James was a hard working man and was a Machine Operator at RR Donnelley & Sons for 15 years before a stroke took his working days away. During his time at home James found a group of online gaming buddies that was there for him to talk to and be there for him as he adjusted to a new chapter in his life. He loved to fish even if he didn't catch anything but a cold. Being on a lake/pond by that water was his second best place to be, His family being first. All donations are going straight to pay for funeral costs and his extensive medical bills. If we exceed our goal The Pruitt Family will be donating the rest in James' honor to the American Diabetes Association and The Amputee Coalition of America. We appreciate the love and support even if it is 1 dollar, it goes a long way. Thank you to everyone who stayed in contact with James even to the end. Your love, support, friendship, prayers and blessings though the years not only impacted James but the rest of the Pruitt family. Thank You and God Bless.
