Remy has been inspired to raise vital funds for families less fortunate in Ukraine.

He has eagerly organised a soccer tournament and has been involved in all aspects of the ideas and planning, named Playing with Purpose, that he hopes all Year 2 can attend.

Every dollar goes directly to the United Ukraine Appeal (UUA), so they can purchase essentials and medical supplies and deliver them to those most in need.

The UUA is an Australian charity that helps save lives and innocent victims of the war in Ukraine. Since April 2022, the UUA has helped thousands of Ukrainian people by delivering ambulances, building bomb shelters, providing hospital beds, giving medical equipment, supplying clean water, providing hot meals and evacuating sick children.

$30 includes registration and donation. Please register with your child's name as a reference.

A snow cone, popcorn and a water bottle will be generously donated.

Lauren is a Board Member of the Australian Jewish Funders and recently participated in one of the programs, the LaunchPad Leadership retreat. Upon return, Lauren discussed some of her learnings that sparked Remy's desire to engage in his giving journey.

A message from Alex Vynokur, founder of UUA:

We are very grateful to Remy Placks and all his friends for participating in the Sydney Playing with Purpose tournament.

All money raised will make an essential difference to the people of Ukraine. For example, if the tournament raises a total of $500, we will be able to feed over 200 people for a day with nutritious, hot food. If we can raise more money, we will use it towards purchasing a new ambulance which will help save more lives.
