Our mom, Lucy, is one of the strongest and most selfless people we know. Throughout her life, she has been an amazing example of faith, love, and kindness. Her unwavering trust in God has carried her through MANY challenges. It truly is her faith that continues giving her strength as she faces this difficult journey.

Our mom was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS) in October of 2024. The type of breast cancer was considered early-stage, requiring a major surgery, including a double mastectomy and breast reconstruction, which was completed on March 7, 2025. Her recovery will be long, and she will be out of work for the next few months so she can focus on healing. Despite the physical and emotional toll, she faces this challenge with the same faith and courage she has always shown.

Our mom's faith is the foundation of absolutely everything she does. She trusts God has a plan for her and He will carry her through this, just as He has before. Even with that deep faith, the practical realities of medical bills, recovery expenses, and everyday costs are heavy burdens. As a family, we are asking for help to ease those worries so she can truly focus solely on her recovery.

Our mom is not one to ask for help; she has always been the one to offer support, love, and encouragement to others. Now, we are reaching out to you on her behalf. We believe in the power of prayer and the strength of community, and we know that your support - whether a donation, a message of encouragement, or simply sharing with others - will lift her up in a way that will honor her faith and give her the strength to keep going!

Nuestra mamá, Lucy, es una de las personas más fuertes y generosas que conocemos. Siempre ha sido un ejemplo de fe y amor. Su confianza en Dios la ha ayudado a superar muchos desafíos, y esa fe es lo que la sigue fortaleciendo mientras enfrenta esta nueva prueba.

En octubre de 2024, le diagnosticaron Carcinoma Ductal In Situ (DCIS), un tipo de cáncer de mama en etapa temprana. Necesitó una cirugía mayor, que incluyó una mastectomía doble y reconstrucción mamaria, realizada el 7 de marzo de 2025. Su recuperación será larga, y estará fuera de trabajo los próximos meses para concentrarse en sanar. A pesar de las dificultades, enfrenta todo con la misma fe y valentía que siempre ha tenido.

La fe de nuestra mamá es la base de todo lo que hace. Ella confía en que Dios tiene un plan para ella y la ayudará a superar esto, como lo ha hecho antes. A pesar de su fe, los gastos médicos y de recuperación son una carga pesada. Por eso, pedimos su ayuda para que nuestra mamá pueda enfocarse en su sanación sin preocuparse por esos gastos.

Nuestra mamá nunca pide ayuda, porque siempre ha sido la que da apoyo a los demás. Ahora, estamos pidiendo por ella. Creemos en el poder de la oración y en la fuerza de la comunidad. Sabemos que su apoyo—ya sea con una donación, un mensaje de aliento o compartiendo este mensaje—hará una gran diferencia.
