As we go through life, we never know where our journey in life will take us. On Sunday, May 24th, Jay and Kim Lovelace's Journey hit a roadblock. As Jay was working on a building that was to be occupied by a new tenant, he took a very tragic fall. My sister, Kim Lovelace received the dreaded phone call that Jay was on the way to the Trauma unit at Wake Med hospital here in Raleigh N.C. Very shortly after he arrived, the surgeon met with the family and said that this was a very serious injury and Jay was rushed into surgery immediately. He suffered from a hemorrhage, subdural hemothoma, and an embolism on his temperal artery. The doctor said that the embolism should have and could have killed him at any instant. In addition he has two broken ribs and a broken nose. He made it through surgery, with lots of positives. He is progressing as good as the doctors could expect. However, after he gets more aware there will be extensive rehab. Of course it is not yet determined what he will have to overcome physically, mentally, emotionally, etc. It is obvious that Jay will be out of work for a very long time. Being the loving wife that Kim is, she will be taking an extended leave from work, therefore there will be lack of income coming in. There will also be tremendous medical expenses that will not be covered by insurance. Would you please carefully consider how you can help Jay and Kim? The Lord has promised to supply all our needs and we praise HIM that HE will keep His promise!
