THE HELBIG HEART BROTHERS!

This is Karson:

He is one of the bravest kids i know. Karson is a smart and and strong little man.
Karson was born blue with Tetrology of the Fallot (a congenital heart condition involving four abnormalities occurring together, including a defective septum between the ventricles and narrowing of the pulmonary artery), Pulmonary Atresia ( a form of heart disease that occurs from birth (congenital heart disease), in which the pulmonary valve does not form properly.) and Tracheomalacia (a condition characterized by flaccidity of the tracheal support cartilage which leads to tracheal collapse especially when increased airflow is demanded.)
At just 3 months old karson had already been in 6 ambulance rides. His mom had done CPR 3 different times and he had coded 16 times.

At 3 months and 1 day he had his 1st open heart sugery. At 1 and 1/2 years he already had 2 heart caths and his second open heart surgery.
By 2 and 1/2 he had, had 4 more heart caths and was diagnosed with asthma. At almost 4 he has now had 6 heart caths, recently recovering from his last. where they found his left lung had little to no blood flow. He is due for another heart surgery as soon as the Doctors say its time.

This is Kolton:

Kolton is also one of the strongest babies I know. Kolton is 3 months and 10 days old. Kolton was born Purple/blue with Atrioventricular Canal Defect ( a combination of heart problems resulting in a defect in the center of the heart. The condition occurs when there's a hole between the heart's chambers and problems with the valves that regulate blood flow in the heart.) The first 28 days of his life were spent in the NICU.
Kolton has trouble swallowing (doesnt swallow) he has a small tounge and a large Uvula. Kolton also has Paralysis in the soft pallet (the fleshy, flexible part toward the back of the roof of the mouth.)
At 14 days old Kolton had a G-Tube placed.
Kolton at 3 months old turned blue and passed out in the car. Where his dad saved his life by performing CPR on the side of the road. A week later Kolton had another episode, his mom took him to the hospital. Where they are currently staying with Kolton who had an emergancy Tracheotomy (an incision in the windpipe made to relieve an obstruction to breathing.)
Kolton is currently on a Paralytic and pain medication. Until the Doctors feel the throat is heald enough for movement.
Not only have these two troopers been through a lot but so have there parents. There dad kris works 2 full time jobs.
Their Mom, Kayli works full time.
Both parents Work hard to provide for there little family. Karson and Kolton are not in day care for reasons that are oh so clear to all after reading this.
