Fibroid Surgery Recovery

I need your help!
After being denied twice by Oregon Health Plan, a much-needed procedure to shrink my fibroids, called a UFE (uterine fibroid embolization), has been approved.
My UFE procedure will take place this Tuesday, Sept 6th 2022. I will not be able to work for nearly a month while recovering. During this time, I will not be able to work. I hope to raise enough to cover my personal and business expenses & loss of income.
Your help is greatly appreciated! Thank you for supporting me through this challenging time.
- I have dealt with the complications of fibroids for close to 3 years. My symptoms have included: Dysfunctional uterine bleeding, Heavy menstruation, lower abdominal pain, pressure while urinating, anemic-like conditions and fatigue.
- Millions of people with uteruses suffer from this condition. It impacts your daily life, not just during your period. I have bled through pads, tampons and clothing. I often have to bring an extra pair of undies and clothing when I am working during my period.
Uterine artery embolization is a procedure in which an interventional radiologist uses a catheter to deliver small particles that block the blood supply to the uterine body. The procedure is done for the treatment of uterine fibroids.
