As some of you may know, Joe Lazar’s apartment was destroyed when a 4-alarm fire spread to his apartment from the neighboring structure. Joe was fortunate to get out, unharmed and called 9-1-1, but essentially, everything in Joe’s apartment was destroyed and he’s left with the clothes he put on ad his bible that he grabbed on his way out. Joe is going to be staying with his parents, but as you can imagine, he’s going to have a lot to rebuild.

A lot of you might not know Joe well, or only know him as a panda avatar, but Joe has been a quiet, dependable, funny part of the Pipitone team since he started work here in September, 2001. Over that time, he’s developed his multimedia and digital skills. He’s our go-to guy for all the “emergency” video edits, as Joe is always the person to put in the time that’s needed to finish something up and has been known to work all through the night when necessary.

Right now, we’re not sure what exactly Joe needs. Many people have reached out saying they would love to help, but Joe’s response is “I don’t need much, but it’s cool people offer.” But it’s not hard to imagine he isn’t going to need more than just well wishes.
