Help Stephanie's Dad in His fight against cancer

Hello! My name is Stephanie, and I am the daughter of Jose. Thank you for taking the time to read about my dad’s battle with cancer. I am organizing this GoFundMe campaign to help him with medical care and bills.

In December 2023, our lives changed forever when my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We were given the heartbreaking news that he had only one year to live. After seeking second and third opinions, our family chose to continue the fight against cancer, fueled by our unwavering faith that he can overcome this. Only God knows when our time will come, and we believe in the power of hope and perseverance.

Over the past year, my dad has undergone chemotherapy, radiation treatments, numerous procedures, and hospitalizations. It has been an incredibly challenging journey, and there were moments when it felt like too much for him. However, he has continued to fight bravely against cancer, refusing to accept the clinical prognosis. If you know Jose, you know he is courageous, strong-willed, and determined to live life on his own terms.

In September 2024, my dad underwent a Whipple surgery to remove the cancer. Tragically, he faced severe complications and spent several weeks in the ICU, intubated and fighting for his life. His resilience has been nothing short of inspiring. After two months in the hospital, I was finally able to bring him home to continue his recovery, which requires extensive support and therapy.

Currently, he is receiving TPN and IV hydration at home as he recovers from small bowel ischemia. Unfortunately, he has faced every complication imaginable, but his will to live is unbreakable. He cherishes life and has so much to fight for.

It was not easy to bring this to the public and ask for help but after months and months of going through this journey I’ve learned that we need a village and we cannot do it alone. Jose requires a lot of home care support and needs to continue with PT/OT to regain his strength.

We are reaching out to build a support fund for Jose, aimed at covering essential expenses such as transportation, monthly supplements, weekly physical therapy, and much more. Our goal is to ensure he has the resources he needs as he navigates this difficult journey, while we wait for God's miracle to unfold.
