Hey all, my name is Matthew and my dog Maui was recently hit by a car and broke his front left leg. I'm going to be paying for the surgery costs out of pocket and could use some financial help. The veterinarian told us that we really only had three options- 1. Surgery on the leg and put in a plate so that it can heal properly, 2. Amputate the leg, or 3. Euthanasia. I was considering amputation as it was cheaper, but ultimately decided to go with 1 as Maui has a large upper body, so supporting the weight with one front leg would be dangerous.

The total cost for the surgery was a little over $7k. I've attached a picture of the x-ray- please don't hesitate to reach out and ask for more details or other pictures of him at the clinic. I'm a broke college student and would appreciate any extra help! Thank you.
