Amanda's Further Cancer Treatment

This page has been set up for friends, family and others to make donations, (either named or anonymously), to provide funds for our friend Amanda to use for complimentary cancer treatment to supplement that which the NHS can provide.

For those that may not know the details, in March 2018 Amanda had her original breast cancer diagnosis and underwent surgery and chemotherapy. In November 2021 she was then diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer which had spread to multiple lymph nodes, resulting in further chemotherapy and ongoing treatment on the NHS along with self-funded alternative therapies, both of which continue to this day.

The treatment she's had, and any future treatments, are about prolonging her life and complimentary therapies that are not available on the NHS could make a big, big difference. However, these do not come cheap and are not easily accessible in Northern Ireland.

Anyone that knows her will agree that Amanda is a very special person, a great friend and a loving mother, and she's been determined to use her story and that of others in a similar situation to educate, expose and hopefully make things better for the many women who may also face such difficulty in their lives. Her attitude and outlook since her diagnosis has been an inspiration to everyone that knows and meets her.

Although she's had our continued love and encouragement throughout her journey, she also needs our financial support to access alternative therapies and help her live life to full, making time spent with her daughter Iona, Chris and the boys, and the rest of her loved ones, as special as it can be.

Amanda would be the first in line to help her friends and family so let's do something to show her how much we love and appreciate her.
