Quietly Healing 4 Kiyaa'anii Santos

In August 2014, Chris and Anissa Santos we're excited to announce the news of the new addition to their family. A couple of months after announcing their news Anissa was diagnosed with Polyhydramnios, a condition in which her body produces an excessive amount of amniotic fluid. She was taken off work and was placed on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnacy which caused her husband Chris to also take off work to care for her. As any other strong mother would do, she toughed out her difficult pregnancy, and on May 11, 2015, she gave birth to a beautiful 9lb 01oz baby boy named Kiyaa'a
nii Ignacio Santos.


Chris & Anissa's moment of joy turned into pure worry when their son was whisked off by the doctors immediately to the NICU. His completely developed lungs were not giving him the oxygen he needed. He was initially diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension, however doctors later realized his condition remains unknown. His strong body has been through more procedures than even many sickly adults, but he is a fighter. Currently he remains in the NICU as his parents sit in the nearby waiting room day after day, never wanting to leave his side, while also struggling to be there for their other two sons. They both have not been able to return to work and we would like to support them by setting up this account. Donations to this strong but exhausted and heart sore family would incredibly be appreciated. As medical bills rise, we'd like them to know that support from loved ones will rise above that so they can focus on being there for their beautiful baby boy as he is Quietly Healing.
