Voy a ir a España: help me fight housing and food insecurity

My name is Steven Shipman and I am raising money for a travel abroad experience in Barcelona, Spain. This experience is focused on studying statistics through the lens of housing insecurity. We will be working hands-on with people who are actively working with people facing housing insecurity and actively working with how they collect and use data.

I am currently working on a nutrition degree with Oregon State University with intentions of becoming a registered dietitian. During this program, I intend to study food insecurity alongside housing insecurity. While I am in Barcelona, I will personally be working with an organization called Esperaça distributing food to the homeless. As a budding dietitian, I am also extremely excited to be able to experience the Mediterranean diet firsthand. The Mediterranean diet is notoriously healthy, and I will be able to acquire firsthand knowledge of it and apply this knowledge to my future dietary practice.
