The Votu Scholarship Fund

Hello Everyone,
Thank you for taking a minute to visit our page and read our story. The Igbinedion Education Center Secondary School Class of 2000 is planning a 15 year reunion in Lagos, Nigeria on the 18th and 19th of December 2015. In addition to traveling from all over the world to celebrate our 15 Year journey together, we thought it important to honor 1 of our fallen Heroes. Miss Votu Agbatutu.  

Tragically her life was cut short, and she never got the opportunity to reach her full potential and achieve her dreams. If she were alive today, she would be at the reunion sharing, dancing and celebrating with the rest of the team.

Votu was funny, full of life, always a smile on her face, intelligent, friendly and humble. She was a kind soul who never thought of herself bigger than anyone, she was friend to all and sister to many.

In her honor and in the spirit of her kind and generous heart, we have created this fund, to sponsor an Orphan in Lagos Nigeria, to attain a secondary school education which would be otherwise impossible for them to afford.

A check for every penny donated here will be publicly handed over to an orphan of our choosing during the reunion ceremony in honor of Votu. Measures will be taken to ensure that the money is used in its entirety towards this Orphan's tuition. Accountability of the payments of this fund will be made public and transperent to all donors.
