Bonjour, je m’appelle Julie et je collecte des fonds pour me permettre de me rendre en Alberta pour obtenir les soins dont j’ai besoin pour espérer trouver des réponses à mes challenges de santé Et si possible, obtenir les traitements requis.

il y a quelques années j’ai fait une demande pour rencontrer un spécialiste en immunologie, le seul au Canada spécialisé dans le diagnostique et le traitement du Syndrome ASIA.

Initialement, la clinique d’Immunologie de l’université d’Edmonton avait prévu une rencontre pour moi en mai 2020 mais le tout fut annulé en raison de la pandémie.

Pendant ces 4 ans, ce spécialiste a quand même travaillé fort avec moi pour que je puisse trouver ici un collègue de sa profession qui s’intéresserait à mon cas ainsi qu’aux traitements et suivis possibles et malgré ses communications avec plusieurs spécialistes du Québec, aucun n’a démontré assez d’intérêt pour ce syndrome pour prendre mon cas et investiguer.

Il se sera passé 4 ans avant que le département d’immunologie de l’U de E aient la permission de reprendre leur consultations pour patients hors province.

Et le 26 juin 2024 j’ai finalement reçu l’appel m’offrant une place prioritaire en clinique d’immunologie vu l’attente prolongée à laquelle j’ai été soumise, avec le spécialiste en question.

Mon état de santé général ayant décliné sérieusement depuis 10 mois, cet appel que je n’espérais plus est arrivé comme une source d’espoir nouveau.

Le 3 novembre 2024 j’espère pouvoir être en direction d’Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Mais sans vos dons, cet espoir risque de n’être que cela: un souhait qui ne se réalisera pas.

Chaque dollars fait une énorme différence pour moi.

Hello, my name is Julie and I am raising funds in order to travel to Alberta to get the care I need to hopefully find answers to my health challenges and if possible, obtain the required treatments.

A few years ago I made a request to meet an immunology specialist, the only one in Canada specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of ASIA Syndrome.

Initially, the Immunology clinic at the University of Edmonton had planned a meeting for me in May 2020 but the whole thing was canceled due to the pandemic.

During these 4 years, this specialist still worked hard with me so that I could find a colleague in his profession here who would be interested in my case as well as possible treatments and follow-ups BUT despite his communications with several specialists in Quebec, none showed enough interest in this syndrome to take my case and investigate under his spcificaations.

It has been been 4 years and recently the Department of Immunology at the U of E was allowed to resume consultations for out-of-province patients.

And on June 26, 2024 I finally received the call offering me a priority place in the immunology clinic given the prolonged wait to which I was subjected, with the specialist in question.

My general state of health having seriously declined over the past 10 months, this call that I no longer expected arrived as a source of new hope.

On November 3, 2024 I hope to be heading to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
