Please consider donating to the Vote YES! For Komarek Movement! Don’t forget to vote on March 17th, 2020.

In Spring of 2019 Komarek School District 94 brought a building referendum to vote for $22 million to address Komarek’s failing infrastructure.  This building referendum did not pass.

Komarek’s administration began working again with teachers, students, parents, and community members to evaluate the health and safety of the current facility. A second steering committee was brought together; they worked with school board members and the district's architect and superintendent to design a number of plans that addressed some or all of the building's needs. A final plan of $22.5 million was presented to and approved by the school board.

Members of the community have been involved with this effort since the beginning, and the final plan being shared has been made better and better with all the input received. This is truly a plan by the community and for the community.

In order to see this plan become a reality, we will have to get this next referendum passed. The district will be paying $1.7 million of the cost out of their budget.  The district is requesting $20.8 million to fund the improvements to the building.   This is a major project, but the designs have been adjusted in each edit to tighten the cost and get the community the best building possible for the most responsible amount of money. Please reach out to any member of the steering committee with your questions. Our goal is to be as transparent as possible about this process, and we hope that you will view the plans with an open mind, and come to the decision to vote yes for the Komarek referendum.

We are currently requesting donations to help with the cost of flyers, signs, mailers, and much more!  We want to make sure we spread accurate information and in order for us to do that we need the funds to do so.  Funds remaining after the successful passage of the Komarek Referendum will be donated by Citizens for District 94 to the Komarek PTA.
