Help power Vostock free parties
Donation protected
TLDR: We're crowdfunding a bigger Lithium battery to keep our Vostock free parties alive at unconventional off-grid locations.
Three years ago, the idea that started this all was to build a DIY van conversion that would allow to live, make music and organize parties wherever. After months of planning, renovating and travelling, the first "Vosto van gigs" took place in Portugal. Passionate about building the idea further but also feeling the need to belong to a city and community, I eventually moved to Brussels.
One year ago, a nervous first van gig on place Poelaert, to my surprise, didn't get stopped by the police. Today, with over 30 gigs, 1000 Whatsapp group members, and a small but motivated crew, we're growing into a concept which just might have a future in Brussels.
Vostock is about building a community that breaks with tradition to bring together people and creative expression.
Now, as our gigs have grown in size over the last months, we also need better material to provide you with a quality sound and light experience.
I've done some major sound and light investments, but we still need the off-grid power and want to go for a big lithium battery, as it's greener and cheaper in the long run, compared to a generator. However, this is a large investment of €1700 which I currently can't fund myself.
In a time when a lot of events get commercialized and lose their essence, we're passionate about keeping the free aspect of the concept alive and not sell expensive tickets or drinks.
But in order to make this possible, we need your help. If each of us contributes just a fraction of the cost of a regular night out, we'd already achieve our crowdfunding goal. But, of course, if you're not well off financially, then skip this one. If, on the other hand, you're doing well and enjoyed several of our events, then help a bit extra.
Saturday, July 9, our next forest rave is planned close to the Bxl center, details will follow in the WhatsApp groups.
Save the date and thanks for helping to keep our concept alive and allowing us to build it together.
