Help Vonda In Critical Condition

Hello Friends, Family, and Kind-Hearted Supporters,

We’re reaching out to ask for your support for our beloved Vonda, who suffered a severe stroke on September 20th. Due to some underlying health issues, doctors could not operate on her brain bleed, and we were told she wouldn’t make it. But through her incredible strength and by God’s grace, Vonda is still with us.

Vonda has fought hard, spending 3 weeks in ICU on a breathing and feeding tube before moving to a charity-sponsored physical rehabilitation facility. With the help of a permanent VP Shunt, we’re managing the pressure on her brain, but she is still showing signs of brain damage. She has depleted motor skills/eyesight on the left side of her body and cannot walk with a walker for too long. She is now in assisted living, but still needs extensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy to regain her independence.

Me, along with our parents, have been taking turns by Vonda’s side daily since this journey began. The travel expenses alone have been challenging, but they/I have paid them gladly to keep Vonda encouraged and supported. However, with ongoing medical expenses, our funds are nearly depleted. Your generosity will help provide the care Vonda so urgently needs, such as daily assisted care and entrance back into a physical rehabilitation program. Our goal is to keep her here in Texas so she may be close to her kids. If not, she will need to go to Arizona, where the road trip alone could cause some medical emergencies. Please help us keep her home and in a safe environment.
