Helping Brother Barlow

Donation protected
Von Barlow is in need. He is awaiting medical clearance for his second hip replacement (his first was 10+ years ago). He is so debilitated that he hasn't been able to gig in months and even walking is painful.

We musicians, friends and fans know Von as a loving, caring soul who is a hell of a drummer. Von's selfless mentoring has been an inspiration to thousands of musicians for decades.

Von's jazz journey has taken him from 1960's Jacksonville to Los Angeles and beyond. He has performed with Jack Wilson, Roy Ayers, Leroy Vinnegar, Barney Kessel, Ray Brown and many more west coast cats. He toured extensively with O.C Smith after the hit "Little Green Apples". Von has a great story of when he played at Woodstock with O.C in 1969. He has been omnipresent in the Jacksonville jazz scene including being inducted into the Jacksonville Jazz Festival Hall of Fame in 2007.

Von is beloved by so many and he needs our help, now. Please assist him in getting through this tough time. Once he gets a new hip and recovers he will be back as strong as ever with his tasteful and swingin' drumming. Ain't nothin' like a Von shuffle! Please help our brother Von Barlow, a musical and human treasure with whatever you can afford....from $10 to ?
