Hi my name is Eve and im travelling to Tanzania in summer to volunteer.
On July 13th, I will be going to Arusha, Tanzania, where I will begin a 3 week childcare volunteer program on July 15th. I'll be helping in a nation where many families live in terrible poverty on a daily basis. I'll be working at childcare facilities that provide support to a lot of families. Due to their lack of funding and resources, these childcare facilities require further assistance, which is what I will be doing. These facilities offer meals, education, and social connection to children.
I'll be requesting sponsorship in order to fulfil my ambition of volunteering in Tanzania. Even a small donation would help pay for the necessary goods like food, clothing, and school supplies for the children who I'll be working with. All donations will make it possible for me to visit Tanzania and work on community initiatives that fight the lack of work and poor educational opportunities that trap young people in a cycle of poverty.
Your impact:
Many families depend on the active childcare facilities and kindergartens in Arusha's low-income neighbourhoods for help as they leave for work each day. Volunteers can reduce the workload of local employees and enable them to give kids higher-quality care. The Tanzanian Childcare Project's goal is to help underfunded and under-resourced childcare facilities that require further support. These facilities offer food, education, and social interaction to kids from low-income households.
As a childcare volunteer, you will help in kindergartens and daycare centres that frequently lack adequate funding and resources and require additional support. Volunteers offer invaluable assistance by:
* Helping with education;
* Taking care of the children;
* Playing games and planning activities;
* Assisting with mealtimes and feeding;
* Interacting and interacting with the children
The majority of the kids in childcare facilities come from extremely low-income families. Tanzania's government is making an effort to shift its emphasis away from childcare facilities like orphanages and towards education for youngsters. As a result, many daycare centres and nurseries that the local team collaborates with offer a percentage of their children free admission, and frequently, the food they receive there serves as their only meal of the day. Although this is a relatively little charge, some kids may be able to pay half, and others may pay the whole amount to make up for others. Although the facilities are founded by kind and generous individuals without official support, they always require further assistance. The children will probably live with one or both parents in a single room at home, either brick or mud, but it will be rented. Most of them have many siblings, and the entire family will share a single room and bed. You can observe firsthand the living conditions of the children by going on home visits with the daycare placements.
