**UPDATE**
Due to the overwhelming response to this, we have set up a Rapid River responders group in Carrick on Shannon, in the hope that in the future a person could be rescued from the river immediately. We are going to provide lifesaving training and equipment to volunteers. All money donated now will go directly to Carrick on Shannon Rapid River Responders you can find us on Facebook if you would like to know more or would like to get involved as a volunteer.

On behalf of the family, this page has been set up to help cover the cost being incurred by the volunteers from all over Ireland who have been helping in the search and continue to help in all weather.
Some of these groups travel long distances to help families at no charge and are mainly dependent on donations and fundraising from the general public to continue their incredible service. These normally pay all their travel, accommodation and expenses out of their funds on most searches. Money raised on this page will go directly to each group to help cover their ongoing costs or to buy necessary equipment.
The groups who have helped so far in the search are local Civil Defence teams, Boyne Fisherman's Search and Rescue, Moy River Rescue, Sub Aqua clubs from the Diving Ireland midlands region, Teach an Uisce Sub Aqua search and recovery with the assistance of Drumnastie Divers, Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue K9 unit, K9 search and rescue Northern Ireland, who have all been on and/or in the water assisting with search and to Lough Keel County Scout Group for the use of The Fox barge which has been invaluable as a changing room for divers and to keep kettles boiled and soup heated and to St Patrick's Hospital who have supplied soup and sandwiches to feed the search teams during the day, this donation will be to the patient comfort fund of St Patricks.
As this search is ongoing more groups may be added as beneficiaries
