The friends of Steve and Kirsten want to help them during this difficult time as sadly, Steve was struck by a vehicle on the highway on his way home from helping a neighbour retrieve their horse that had gotten loose.

He was taken to the Princeton hospital, then transferred to Penticton and is now in Kelowna for the care and surgery he requires. So Kirsten and some other family will be by his side to help him on his road to recovery but that also means added costs of hotels and travel while commuting between their home in Hedley and Kelowna where Steve is.

As well, anyone who knows Steve and Kirsten, know they moved to the Similkameen area and started their own business. Which also means loss of wages for their household.
